Minister for Transport and the Isles in Mull & Iona

The Transport Minister, Humza Yousaf, was in Tobermory on 12th June to announce the approval of our community Harbour Authority in Tobermory and to talk about the future Islands Bill. All I can say is what an incredibly nice man with a super sense of humour. 2017 Mull Cyclosportive

Sunday June 4th – our busiest year ever
This is the 6th year we have held the Cycle sportive on our beautiful island. Every year we seem to grow. We have been credited as being one of the top 20 sportives to ride in the UK for 2 years running and every year we look to improve on it. We had nearly 400 entries this year. Our limiting factor seems to be accommodation on the Island.
The sportive is an organised, signposted ride that has first aid and support vehicles, water and food stops along the way and goodie bags for all the entrants. They get timed going round and can go as fast or as slow as they wish... more in the full issue

2017 Mull Rally Cancelled!

We are shocked to learn that the 2017 Mull Rally, scheduled for 13th-15th October, will not now take place as a closed road event, due to insurance difficulties. Clerk of the Course Andy Jardine told R&A "We are looking at various options to provide the normal visitors to the island on rally weekend with some alternative motorsport activities. I would hope to be able to give you something more certain next month"
