Ulva Celebration

It was a midsummer's day to remember with the sun shining bright on Ulva as the island transferred into community ownership.
From babes-in-arms to pensioners, people of all ages joined the island residents - now down to five as former owner Jamie Howard has moved on - to mark the occasion.
There was fun right from the start when the children, all lined up to play their part in a ribbon cutting ceremony, roared with laughter when the scissors took an age to work!
But this was not a day for stuffiness, or standing on ceremony, it was a time for eating cake and raising a glass to mark an occasion which will be remembered, in the history books, for all time... more in the full issue

Mull Sportive 2018

We seem to have a good track record of picking a good weather weekend for the Mull Sportive, and this year was certainly no exception. On Sunday June 3rd a record field of 313 riders set off under clear sunny skies for the eighth edition of the event.
The Mull Sportive attracts riders from all over the UK, many of whom return year after year. The reputation of our sportive has grown after several hugely positive reviews in national cycling magazines and word of mouth recommendation.

Pink Run

What a great turnout on 17th June for our Annual 5k Pink Run for Cancer Research UK, totalling 68, sporting an awesome selection of pink attire.
First male over the line was Richard Kellett (16:41 mins), 1st lady was Naomi Rabin (23:42), 1st Boy was Cameron McVicar (21:43), 1st Girl was Ellen Macrae (21:12) and 1st dog was Patch (37:00).
The Pink Run novelty first prize was a pink stetson, sunglasses, handbag and rose goes to Richard this year. Well done to you all! ... more in the full issue
