Mull Highland Games 2018

The annual Mull Highland Games, held in Tobermory on 19th July, was a great success, with a good number of visitors, including many from overseas. The weather played its part and stayed dry for the competitions, and everyone enjoyed the day.
Two new records were set in the Light Events: Tony Daffurn broke the record set by Allan Hamilton in 2016 by almost 6 inches, leaping an amazing 25ft 1in. The floats were many and varied, ranging from charities such as the RNLI and First Responders to the topical - 'Fake News - Trump trades Turnberry for Staffa - Columba Centre to be 19th hole!' All were testimony to the ingenuity and commitment of those involved ... more in the full issue
