serving the islands of Mull, Iona, Ulva and the surrounding area.
Round & About is compiled and printed on the Isle of Mull.

Diary of Events

Most of the usual events for August have had to be cancelled, however there are still some outdoor and of course virtual events going on - look out for the scarecrow competitions in both North and South!

Dervaig Village Hall - Annual General Meeting 7.30pm Thursday 20 August 2020
Meeting will take place in line with Scottish Government Guidelines. If guidelines change at short notice and do not permit the meeting, the notice of cancellation will be shown on the hall Facebook page.

Tobermory Producers Outdoor Market - Every Monday 11am-2pm. All the regular stalls plus BBQ.

Torosay Castle Gardens: Open Day -First Sunday of every month from now until October,
10am - 5pm

Tobermory Horticultural Society Summer Show
It is with regret, that due to covid 19, we are unable to go ahead with the Show this year. Instead we are inviting the following photographic entries which will be displayed on our facebook page on 22nd August.
The photo competition
"Home Sweet Home" - can be of ANYTHING, your favourite photo from your home and/or garden.
Maximum 2 photos per household.
Children are invited to send a photo of
a) something you have grown and/or
b) a fairy garden you have made.
This can be in any sort of container or just in a corner of a garden or park.
Deadline for all entries is Friday, 14th August. Please either send via our 'messenger 'page or email to
Scarecrow competition, the deadline was 31st July. Entries will be judged in the topics advertised and the winners will be announced on 22nd August.

Mull & Iona Gaelic Partnership Online Cèilidhs
We can’t hold proper cèilidhs in the village hills and venues of our islands yet but in the meantime the Mull & Iona Gaelic Partnership is organising a weekly online ceilidh every Wednesday. Each cèilidh will begin at 8:30pm and will showcase our numerous talented local singers and musicians.
